The Philippines is a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia situated in the western Pacific Ocean. It consists of about 7,641 islands.[1] The Philippine economy is the 34th largest in the world, with an estimated gross domestic product of $348,593 billion.[2] Primary exports include semiconductors and electronics, transport equipment, garments, copper products, petroleum products, coconut oil, and fruits.[3]
If you watch American news, they say the Phillipines is menaced by China. Citizens of the Phillipines don't want China getting too close or controlling their seas. That sounds reasonable… But did you know that the Phillipines is named for KING PHILIP OF SPAIN? It's true. The same King Philip who built the Spanish Armada that was destroyed in a mysterious storm (possibly conjured by Tudor Queen Elizabeth) claimed the Philipines as his own private resort. "Everybody out!" Let me ask you something- how would people living in Boston like it if the cast of Hawaii 5-0 paddled into their harbor and renamed it "Chief-Ooga-Ooga-Booga Land"? What if Boston's dumb mayor was really a stooge for some faraway tribe of headhunters? President Duterte talks a good line, promises change. He is articulate. But can we trust him? |
